PUBLIC INFORMATION

The Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati City has issued a Resolution dated 30 January 2026 dismissing the complaint for Perjury under Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code filed against General Superintendent Rev. Ceasar M. Pestano.

After evaluation of the evidence submitted by the parties, the investigating prosecutor found that the elements of crime of perjury were not established.

Accordingly, the complaint was dismissed.

This post is made solely for the purpose of informing the public of the official action taken by the Office of the City Prosecutor based on the contents of the said Resolution.

Rev. Romeo M. Navallo,

With deep sorrow, the United Pentecostal Church Philippines, together with its Ministers and the UPC Headquarters Staff, extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of our dearly departed Former UPCPI General Superintendent, Rev. Romeo M. Navallo.

We convey our deepest sympathy to his beloved wife, his children, his grandchildren, and to the entire church family whom he faithfully shepherded. We mourn with you, and we stand with you in prayer during this time of profound loss.

Rev. Navallo was truly a hero of the Apostolic faith in the Philippines. His leadership was exceptional and unmatched, marked by vision, courage, and unwavering commitment to the work of God. Through his faithful service, many milestones were accomplished, and the fellowship was strengthened and guided to where it stands today. His legacy of faith, sacrifice, and dedication will continue to inspire generations to come.

Though we grieve his passing, we take comfort in the hope of eternal life and in the assurance that he has finished his race and received his reward. His life and ministry will forever remain etched in the history of the United Pentecostal Church Philippines.

May the peace and comfort of the Lord surround the family and all who mourn. Our prayers are with you.

The recent activity of Mayon Volcano on February 4, 2024 may have caused concern among our brethren who are planning to attend our annual UPCPI General Conference 2024 (GENCON 2024). While we understand the apprehension brought about by said concern, we are in close coordination with the local government unit (LGU) of Legazpi to ensure that the environment will be safe and conducive for large assemblies such as ours. The LGU, together with relevant authorities, is monitoring the situation. All other factors are being cosidered at the moment, and we believe that it is a pragmatic decision to proceed with GENCON 2024 as planned.

Let our faith supersede our fears. We encourage everyone to be confident, knowing that God remains in control of every circumstance, working all things for the good of those who place their trust in Him. May God bless us all.
